Todd- I don't have anything negative to say about upgrades. However, keep in mind that the engineers during these time periods were smart! We sometimes think that because we live in an era of increased technology that it equates to better. Not always true! Just look at our US Constitution.
Those engineers knew what they were doing and mated the parts together pretty well.
