In the right side of the photo, the curved portion of a headlight guard is a nice half round with consistent radius. In the left side of the photo is a headlight guard with a not so half round with an inconsistent radius. I want the guard on the left to look like the guard on the right. How do I bend or straighten the not so half round to a nice half round with a consistent radius? Do I heat the steel and then bang on the ugly curve where it is a bit too tight? And if so, how much heat? Until the steel turns red? And what portion of the guard would you clamp in a vise before you start pounding?
And how to do you, personally, fill in rust pits that you don't want to show?
And thanks Joe, for the forum. I would never have bought a Power Wagon in pieces had I not run across this sight first.
