10-15 degrees is fairly normal for worn side gears/spiders/backlash. You could also have worn axle trunnion bushings allowing axle slop that can generate noise at the axle UJs inside the knuckles. If the noise is clanking, it worn trunnion bushings, if a wine, 3rd member. In either case, you probably need to rebuild the front. Check your gear oil level and look for oil at the lower knuckle area at the felt seal, it will indicate bad axle oil seals behind the bushings.
