pedal hinge

The top flange that attaches to the accelerator pedal was bent. So, I unbent it, or straightened it. but, not the hinge does not move freely, or at least not freely enough for a gas pedal. What to do?

And please don't tell me to bend it back. The pedal studs do not fit when it is bent. And besides, I want it straight.
