Often thought about a slant six conversion. Very durable....had two boats with Chrysler Marine slants. Couldn’t kill them, even running high RPM’s for extended periods of time. Ran till the blocks rusted out from the salt water. Also, power upgrades are easily accomplished.
I always wanted to see how “Chrysler” accomplished the installation, as I understand they made a small run with slants. As most auto-makers can be considered “frugal” possibly many existing stock components were used and used and NOS parts may still be available.
