Carb question

So I am putting an original carburetor with governor back on my 51 PW. Can anybody tell me what goes from the driver side top brass elbow of the carb and where does it go to? I found in a parts breakdown that it shows a "tube" but what for and where does the "tube" go to? Thanks for any responses!
