Clean an area on the frame, using a electrical wire, touch one end to the sending unit housing, and the other end to the clean area. This is to determine if you have a good grounded tank. Can't lube the gauge, repair, or replace it. Check to see if the nuts that hold the wires connected to the gauge are tight.
