So you're thinking this is the height for the factory nut. I just wondered because ARP offers nuts for head stud applications (11/16" fine thread) that are 0.504" tall, but that's a little too tall for what I'm thinking of doing.
McMaster-Carr has Grade 9 nuts that are 27/64" tall (~0.422"), but I just wanted to be sure I wouldn't be getting too little thread engagement by using this nut. It's only a tiny bit shorter (~3.5%) than the one you're talking about, so it should be fine.
