unless you are a purist or a historian, i believe that sheetmetal and frame condition are paramount. agree that beds and cabs should be the correct series for a well sorted truck. same series engine, etc. is good to. when you get to the finer details regarding smaller items, i appreciate but do not go crazy about that stuff. i'd prefer my ffpws to be tastefully updated with factor 1968 dual circuit brakes, using the correct floorboard with access. any mods detailed in the zentmeyer book are ok too. My command car has 1968 brakes and a large ring and pinion. the europeans modified it and I suspect they detected a weakness in the 8 3/4 member. i have a large rear and small front 489 set. im a fan of combat rims on any wc or ffpw, just preference....
