A one wire sender has the hit, and is grounded via the float.
The the two-wire has a wire to each end of the ni-chrome winding, the float grounds between them. So resistance to ground goes up on one wire and down on the other.
I was using tan-org(Yup, that is a part number) one-wire 5-screws. $30 eBay. I figured with a bit of monkeying around I could convert one to 2-wire.
Maybe Marty can put a second sender location in his tank for the 5-screw two-wire? Use a cut down old sender to pug the OE hole?
