This was an idea from 15 years ago. Your tractor, mower, boat or whatever you are hauling on your trailer has a dead battery. You can charge it while you are driving along.
You can see it is an alternator belt driven by a small tire that drops down on the pavement. It has an internal regulator and 15 foot jumper cables. Pretty simple, but works great.
I also found a $30 device that is a bluetooth volt meter. The transmitter hooks to the battery you want to charge, and I can watch the battery charge progress on my cell phone up in the cab of the truck. Has a 35 foot transmit distance - perfect for my purpose.
