'06 battery drain

As long as I drive my '06 2500 CTD regularly it's not a problem but if it sits for 2 or 3 days the batteries drain down. I've had a trusted mechanic running tests on it. He thought the drain was in the instrument panel. A guy who specializes in this came and worked on it yesterday, but this morning the batteries were dead. Back to square one, wherever that is. :(
