it is nothing more than history being written. we just dont know for sure what the next big thing will be for individual transportation.
the world has come a long way from the first.
personally i like the transporter from star trek, just been so busy building powerwagons i havent had time to get one invented yet. you can also still get a horse drawn buggy ride in some big cities or just hitch a ride with the amish.
