Did the owner send it out for rebuild or are the receipts for parts and machine work? Pull a spark plug to see if combustion chamber is clean of carbon. Any guarantees by the owner? You could mount it on a stand and run it to check oil pressure and valves for leakage from rust on seats from sitting, or trust the owner.
