I would try retorquing the water pump mounting bolts. I have had rebuilt engines weep at the heater hose fitting on top, the water pump gasket, tstat housing, hoses, but never the timing cover bolts.

Also could be leaking water pump. when they fail the coolant runs right down onto timing cover area
