Engine I.D. help

Anybody have a Hollanders or a 50s Motor Manual & can I.D the year and c.i. of a Dodge Truck V-8 with the block code stamp VT5502738? I think it's somewhere between '55 & 58 but I am having trouble pinning it down. Thanks!
