One of the rotors on my '79 W150 with full time 4WD has a deep groove and needs replacement. (The prior owner replaced the wheel bearings and put on new brake pads, but put the bad rotor back on to eat the new pad.) JC lists a rotor for trucks w/o locking hubs for $35 and a rotor/hub assembly for $100. Others show similar listings at $75/$150.
What should I consider when deciding between replacing the rotor or the rotor/hub assembly? Is the bearing assembly part of the rotor/hub assembly?
Does anyone have an informed opinion of JC Witney's brake rotors?
