Next, we realized it was late morning, so of course the fairgrounds would be about void of Power-Wagons. So we headed down to the town square where there should be a sizable crowd of enthusiasts there admiring the old trucks filling up every available parking spot around the square and down a couple of side streets.
Where we saw goats at the fairgrounds, the square was full of hogs (the two wheeled kind). A motorcycle get-together was taking place there. Not to be daunted, we found a couple of old familiar friends on a park bench and spent some quality time with them.
It was well worth the trip and a chance to enjoy some windshield time. Rally or no Rally, we will be back again this time next year.
