Hard start when hot?

Just curious if anyone else has had this issue. My �62 WM300 starts up right away when cold. But on a hot day (temps over 80F) if I take it for a 15 minute drive at 25-35mph after I turn it off, I have to really crank it to get it started again. Anyone have thoughts or experienced this before?
