Thanks for the items to check. Just as an FYI it is a brand NOS flywheel from VPW so the ring gear is in great shape and I have counted 146 teeth. I have inspected the pinon gear and it matches at 1.155OD with 9 teeth.

The only thing that I did not verify would be the casting number of the bell housing to ensure the starter is in the correct location. Does anyone have any details on where I can look up the casting number or where I can find dimensions of the starter hole and bolt pattern in the bell housing?
