I think you are correct about 1971 D200 and W200 having the same brake drum, part no. 2516422, for all four wheels according to my parts manual linked below.
However, the description vague. It reads: "8 Stud 12 1/8 x 2 brake". I took the 12 1/8 x 2 to refer to dimension of the brake pad not the brake drum, but I could be wrong.
My brake pads measure 13inx2in. My brake drum depth measures 2.5in.
Below is the Raybestos interchange site. The original Chrysler part number 2516422 and the number on my drum 212170-C (which I believe is a casting number) both interchange to Raybestos part number 2949.
