Heater removal

I have removed the cab heater and wonder if I should just cap the feeder line on the water pump and close the stopcock on the top of the engine for now. I have to be able to drive the 58pw in and out of the shop for now.Heater is a model 75 truck master which will probably be one of the last parts to get reinstalled.
