So, I decided to convert my 1960 WM300 from a 12V Generator to a 12V Alternator with internal voltage regulator.
This means I am eliminating the generator, the old voltage regulator on the firewall, and need to do some re-wiring.
It is clear to me where the main positive red #8 cable for the alternator goes but I have a wire diagram that shows the small white wire from the alternator goes directly to the + terminal of ignition coil which seems odd to me. Is this correct?
Also, the #10 black wire from the ignition switch AM terminal to the Batt (or -) terminal of the old voltage regulator has no place to go. Does this go to ground now?
Thanks in advanced for any help here
Glenn
