Fuel pump/coil

Hello folks good progress is being made on my 1950 PW just going over the block getting it ready for assembly. Yesterday I was going to take the original fuel pump apart and order a new diaphram for it BUT I cannot find a way to get the old diaphram out Is this pump NOT rebuildable? Second the only real change I am making on my truck is to convert it to 12 volts can you tell me if I need to replace my coil and condenser in order to facilitate this change?
