Wheel bearing Grease is for wheel bearings, and yes use it on your bearings not the knuckles.
WB grease dose not flow good enough for the Bushing and joint.
Most use Chassis grease for the knuckles as recommended in the lube chart.
After you pack them, when doing regular maintenance remove the screw on the side of the Ball Then remove grease zerk from the top king pin and install it where the screw was.
Pump grease until it comes out the top kingpin.
Re-install zerk and screw in original locations.
Theory is doing it this way forces grease throughout the knuckle,axel, and kingpin.
Some have tried Corn Head grease, but it flows so much when warm it drips out pass the ball felts.
