I'm not fluent on a Desoto, my experience is with a Dodge Hemi. I would call Hot Heads and talk to Bob Walker or Eric on what matches for a bellhousing. I got lucky and found a motor with a bellhousing from a dodge truck. I would think if you could find a Dodge poly motor with the tranny it would be best. Just my experience. Alan
