By no spark you mean not at the Plugs?
How about the Ign wire at the coil with key on?
If you have power there then I would check the points, for gap.
If no power back up to the switch and see if there's power on either side of it.
I remember you saying you turned the Battery connections around after incorrectly installing it.
Also with the Amp gauge, and fuel gauge not working I would check for power on both sides of the amp gauge.
You could have shorted something in the battery swap and burned it out.
The gauge normally can withstand a reverse polarity but not a flash short.
You should have 6volt on both sides of the gage.
