John if you don't have the skill set or the tools to restore your TW it's doubtful you will get it done. These are a lot of work trust me I've restored 8 so far. Sanding to bare metal and applying clear coat won't last. Bare metal needs direct to metal primer and paint. I'm not a fan of the patina craze. The mechanical work can be done by a good mechanic, keyword GOOD. There are parts available for all mechanical needs to get it running and stopping. Bodywise the only parts out there are floorboards and step wells. Everythi9ng else is fine a donor or patch what you have. This gets pricey and not every bodyshop will do the work. NEVER go to a shop and say use it fir fill in work. It will not get done. I myself am not taking on anymore projects at this time but I have another shop close by that I'm mentoring in doing restorations. I'm in New Haven Indiana just FYI. A typical restoration will start at $40 K
