I bought a 1968 Ford LTD station wagon years ago with 112000 miles. I installed a Frantz filter before we drove the car to San Diego. I added a quart of oil every time I filled up with gas, and it smoked going down hill. When we got there I changed the filter and added a quart of oil. On the return trip it only used 1 quart. I ended up driving the car for 10 years.
