Thinner 5380 u-Joint refining clips?

Last night I attempted to install a 5-357X conversion Universal Joint which will allow the NP435 to work with my intermediate driveshaft. The refining clips provided are .095 thick and that is not gonna work.

Has someone run into this problem before, or am I doing something wrong and not seeing my mistake?
