I did grow up in Bowie. My parent's lived there from 1963 until 2018. I passed thru and spent time in Glendale from the 60's thru the mid 80's. The firehouse on route 450 did have an M715 as you recall. They also were given an M37. It mostly sat on the back pad of the firehouse. I am not sure they ever really used it.
