I have an extra drum that has a cable clamp. Holes were drilled through the side of the drum and the threaded legs protruded to the outside. But that won't work on this drum because the ends of the clamp will hit the drum support as it turns. And it's already at the very end of the shaft so I can't even add a spacer.
Would it be appropriate to thread the cable through the Internal hole and then back on itself and clamp them while still inside the drum? Since it will not lay flat will that cause a problem in spooling the cable?
Thanks again,
Steve
