A Bit OT: Cleaning a Carb

I'm trying to rebuild a Walbro carburetor from a Tecumseh engine that has a fair bit of rust in it (new carbs are not available). What can I soak it in that will remove the rust and not damage the pot metal casting? The jets and other screws are really locked in.
