If you look over Peter's nice collection of pictures there you will see that half of those are M601 trucks and half are open cab Power Wagons. Look at the Cumberland truck. It is a true M601. It has a US Government tag on the dash, it does not have PW badges, it has the 230 engine, it has the M37 pintle hitch. It is an M Series vehicle.
If a foreign country buys trucks from Chrysler, Dodge isn't going to put a US Government tag on it. They put the normal Dodge Truck tag on the firewall.
Although the M601 books show the Power Wagon badges on the hood, none of the trucks I've seen have them.
