My 87 year old mom, Jackie Horvath, had brain surgery recently. Some of you know her from the rallies. Deep brain stimulation to fix her non-Parkinson's tremor. She shook so badly she could hardly eat or drink and could no longer wright. They installed electrodes in her brain and a device in her chest. Today they turned it on. She can adjust a dial and basically turn off her tremor. She is getting her quality of life back. They will do the left side once elective surgeries are available. Thanks to WVU Hospitals and Medicare (public health insurance). Go Jackie!
