The Dodge W-600 Came out in 1972 as a replacement for the tried-and-true W-500 I am not sure what they did to beef things up, but there is a slight bit of difference between the W-500 and the W-600. They had to do something to get the GVW rating up some to give it the higher designation. Also remember that Dodge ran the 61-71 Bodystyle on their Medium duty trucks thru 1973, then in 1974, they went to the Lifestyle bodystyle for their mediums.
