Anyone have experience with ‘36 and up 201 flatheads? What’s the best online forum for that era?
Great project coming up - Helping a Vietnam vet get his 1936 1/2 ton dodge going this spring - trading my time for a late ‘20s basket-case Durant Star.
The Dodge had a bad engine (boat anchor in the bed), it’s been sitting since i first saw it in ‘81. The plan is to piece together an engine this spring, clean and scrape rust a bit, and get brakes working - then it can be a driving project. Reading up on engines - sounds like the 201 block interchanges with later 218/230s, some differences in heads and sump?
