While I have you flathead engine gurus attention!
I am buying another motor, for a future project.
I started looking at later year, larger displacement, higher compression engines to get that little more umph.
Here's what I found and am buying. Maybe y'all can share some insight:
230 L head with casting numbers that were given to me:
67 (the 7 looks more like a 1 )
On top of CWC3
So it looks like this on the pic I have:
67
CWC3
In addition, the head casting reads: 1676337-1
Now, the only information I got from the head number
Is its a 57-59 year production.

Of course this means nothing as to dating the engine block. Head could have come from anywhere.
So I think the head is around a 59-57 production
How about the block? Any guesses as to manufacturer
(dodge/plymouth/Chrysler) and what year it was made?
Does it match the head production time frame ya think?
Is the head a plymouth/ dodge/ Chrysler?
