Offered for sale: Dodge W-200 Power Wagon crew cab package. Included are two (2) complete 1962 ex-USAF Dodge W-200 Power Wagon crew cabs. Both are equipped with a Slant Six, 4 speed, 2 speed transfer case, etc. One runs, the engine on the other appears to be stuck. Both cabs need floor repairs (see below re: 1968 cab). Both have clear California titles and Planned Non-Op status (no back DMV fees due). One of them has California retro black and yellow “ALRTCRU” license plates assigned to it. Also included is a fairly complete 1968 Dodge Camper Special 4 x 2 crew cab (318/automatic- condition unknown). It has no title, and was purchased as a parts truck, as the cab is in excellent condition- floors, cab mounts, rockers, steps, drip rails, etc. (see photos). It also has three fuel tanks.
There are also many additional parts included- LU-2 winch with mounting frame extensions and cable (missing driveshaft), excellent condition medium duty front bumper, winch-equipped W-series military grille guard, 10 bolt transfer case-mounted PTO, non-winch equipped W-series military grille guard, extra 4 speed transmission, 2 extra Slant Six engines (possibly rebuildable), military-spec exterior mirrors, 6 x 19.5” drop center non-split rim wheels (rare) and roof-mounted spotlight. Also included is a 1964 D-200 crew cab shell, which has excellent condition steps (rockers are rusted). The four doors, hood, rear seat, driveshaft (4 x 2) and rear bumper from this truck are included. Finally, there is an assortment of minor miscellaneous parts (seat belts, door hinges, exterior trim, oil bath air cleaner, radiator, front headlight panels, computer file for the door lettering, etc.) that are included.
As a USAF veteran, my goal was to build an authentic version of one of the crew cabs that I saw on base while on active duty. One of the 1962 trucks is the most original condition ex-USAF Dodge that I have come across. It still has faint “AIR POLICE” markings on the cab, along with a military pintle hitch and all other USAF special equipment. The idea was to mount the 68 cab (with push button door latches) and one of the 1962 beds (in exc. cond.) on the running 1962 chassis, adding the winch, 19.5” wheels, towing pintle, etc. That would leave enough parts to complete a second W-300 CC and sell the rest (the Camper Special bed/frame could be turned into a trailer).
