If it is engine oil there are places on the back of the flat head that can leak that are not the main seal.

Could it be gear oil from your transmission?

Oil returns from the input bearing thru a port / groove in the cap and case. Maybe the gasket failed? Another possibility is the cap is "filling" for some reason? There is not a rubber seal on the input shaft, just a spiral directing the oil back to the transmission. It only works when spinning so when parked the oil will find its way down the shaft. If this is the case, your clutch will likely now be well lubricated...

I'd follow Keith's advice checking things that are not the main seal.
