Master Cylinder Piston Depth

'49 Power Wagon, I'm replacing the stock master cylinder with a dual-circuit unit, and am making a new rod from the pedal pivot to the inside of the aluminum piston in the M/C. Can someone tell me the distance from the back of the stock master cylinder (mounting flange would be a good reference point) to the inside of the piston, where the stock rod bottoms out?
