I don't know how the copper affects the mix but generally for salt service stainless steel is really only considered ok nickel or monel is preferred. I really don't know what kind of mix copper nickel tubing is but I guess I assume it is just the two metals and no steel. It sure bends easily and seems to work well. On off road only vehicles I have seen a plastic tubing used and it seems to work good as long as you keep it routed away from heat. I wouldn't use it but I guess it doesn't rust at all?
