I’d stick with the Poly if I was you. Great engines, tons of torque, usually a good running engine can be had for a few hundred dollars...I have one here if you were in the NW. I mean they’re a far better engine than a 318LA & they really aren’t that much more expensive to rebuild than any other modern engine unless you’re working on a chev & even those...of you want a good one it’s no cheaper.
Think about it...if you put a few performance parts on your poly they’ll make more torque than any stock 383.
