To say that is the case is wrong. This has to do with government exceeding their authority. The local government has created a law and now they are out to enforce it. The law can say " no pink house" and you have little rights if you paint it pink> In this case they have most likely come up with a wishy washy law that covers either danger or unsightly and is being applied with a heavy hand.
There are ways to fight this idiocy.
