My '68 W300 came to me with dual wheels and a big utility box. When I mounted a factory 9' box on it I had to make some spacers for the rear axle to make it 2 1/2" wider on each side to make the single rear wheels line up with the front. So how could it be that the DRW axle is wider than the front? I'm confused.
