To be honest, even if you support the transmission & pull the flywheel from underneath & leave the bell attached to the transmission, it would take 5 times as long to do it all.
Honest...I tell this story so often & I just don’t understand why folks are so stubborn. You need the engine out of a power wagon? Pull the cab off. Yes, I know you can just pull the cowl, hood & fenders & so what is saved leaving the cab? 4 bolts & a couple of wires?
I can have the nose & cab off my truck in 2 hours & still have time to get washed up.
Seriously, it makes the whole job so much easier & more enjoyable & then you can properly clean it all up & repair all the other things that you couldn’t see with all that crap in your way.
That’s my $.02
