Hi All,
Today, Joan and I toured the Eisenhower Farm, in Gettysburg. We were walking past a small barn, and visible inside the open door was a 56 B series ton and a half. Factory flatbed, rack sides, duel rear wheels, still had its 315 engine. Very original, unmolested in over 40 years.
I spoke to a volunteer and he said they did not know what it was until recently, as the DODGE emblem was missing. I asked if I could slip past the rope that was across the doorway (to keep people like me out!) and he said fine, as long as nobody saw me! I slipped in, looked it over for a few minutes and then stepped back out. Not 20 seconds later along came a Park Ranger!
Very cool truck!
