It becomes real frustrating working on these old Dodges. All the switches on the '54 dash are retained in the dash by a thin hex nut. Except the headlight switch! After breaking one switch from my donor cab, I see that the headlight switch is retained by a round tapered nut with no way to get any tool on it. There are two small slots in this round nut tight against the shaft that may take a special wrench looking similar to a snap ring pliers. Why they didn't use a hex nut is beyond my thinking.
