It bothered me to have to put Generic Motors calipers and rotors on my Power Wagon axles in order to have disc brakes. There is no way I'd put anything other than a Mopar engine or transmission in any vehicle I currently, or will in the future, own. The Cummins swaps are practical in many cases, and I don't mind seeing them THAT much (the 4BTs, I just think of as bread truck engines with no specific automotive make or model). These trucks are rare enough that they deserve respect, and it feels like blasphemy and DISrespect to throw an GM/Ford/Yugo/et cetera engine in one simply because it is easier than doing a modern HEMI swap (I'd really like to see one of us do one of those and make a Helitool-esque kit like there is for the LA engine). If I ever have another PW, it will be HEMI re-powered. That's my take on it.
