Windshield removal

Can a FF windshield be removed while leaving the hinge attached to the body? Perhaps by lifting it 90 degrees? I have taken it off the hinge before but needed the wife and nearly two hours to get it back in. Now it has to come out again and I dread it. Was hoping someone knew a trick. Scoured the archives but no luck!
